How To Build a Solid Relationship

For any relationship to stand the test of time, it must be built on some 3 key principles that most couples tend to ignore blatantly.  These principles will guide you as you build a solid relationship. The following are the 3 key principles that solidify a relation and make it enduring:

 1.       COMMUNICATION:

This is the totality of all the ways through which you pass messages across to someone. In order to build a solid relationship, both partners must strive to communicate effectively well. If you remove communication form your relationship, that’s the end of it. Most lovers tend to ignore this vital factor, with the wrong mindset that it counts for little. Communication can take any of the following means:

a.       Phone calls
b.      Text messages
c.       Sign language

2.       TRUST:

Trust, which is another key factor for the success of any relation, can never be neglected. Trust has to do with ability of a partner to believe what the other partner tells him without casting doubt. With trust, the relationship can grow from strength to strength.
When you trust your partner, you don’t do any of the following:
a.       Monitor their phone calls
b.      Monitor their test messages
c.       Keep track of their movements
d.      Ask for their face book  ID and passwords
e.      Get angry when they talk to people of the opposite sex
Trust, helps you overcome these societal ills. In a nutshell, any relationship built on trust can be likened to a house built on a solid rock.

3.       SACRIFICE:
Sacrifice, which entails going out of your way to help someone, is very instrumental in building a solid relationship. The best form of sacrifice is the one you make without expecting any reward. Sacrifice should be mutual, not one-sided. The following are the types of sacrifice one can make when building a solid relationship.
a.       Showing love
b.      Giving gifts
c.       Spending much time with one’s  partner
d.      Making changes to one’s  lifestyle:
                                I.            Quitting smoking,
                               II.            Quitting alcohol
                              III.            Quitting drugs
IV.            converting from one’s  religion to that of your spouse
If you practise the principles above, and get some other nice books to guide you in your quest to building a solid relationship, yours will be as solid as the rock of GIBRALTAR.
